Working as a wedding florist for the last 20 years I have quite the collection of vases and this was the starting point for this piece. The blue delphiniums work against the vivid yellow and the colours remind me of the Wrigleys ‘Juicy Fruit’s’ gum wrapper - which I thought rather an apt title the more I worked on it.

It is a mixed media collage on canvas combining acrylic and household paint, spray paint and hand cut collaged elements taken from my
extensive floral library. The graffiti and typographic elements originate from Bristol, my local city and Brick Lane - one of my favourite haunts in London.
