ART AT THE RACES
I was thrilled to be part of the inaugural Art Surrey held at Epsom Racecourse last weekend. Being a new art fair there is always some trepidation when applying, but I was genuinely impressed with the professionalism of the organisers and visitor numbers were great - nearly 2,000 visitors came to spend!
My latest original ‘Juicy Fruits’ got lots of attention - here is a very happy customer with her print, the first of the edition.
I was also interviewed by Art Surrey to promote the event in the future. No idea what I said as it was all a blur, and I’m sure I waffled on but hopefully some of it was useful!
And so from one race course to another - this time Ascot. At the end of September I was fortunate enough to have some of my originals on show with my latest gallery - Park Gallery Cheltenham at Fresh Art Ascot.
The owner first saw my work at my solo show in May and so it was his first outing with some of my work. I must admit I was thrilled when I discovered that ‘Don’t Sweetheart Me’ had sold on the Private View. I was later told it was for a wedding gift from the brides parents to their daughter, who was given it at the fair as a complete surprise. It was a lovely story and hopefully the start of a great partnership as Park promote my work, both through their gallery, and at various art fairs. The next art fair for them will be Manchester Art Fair in November which I’m told is always incredibly busy, so fingers crossed for some similar heart warming stories from happy purchasers!
