TIME TO CHILL
December is always a great time to reflect on the year.
I can honestly say 2023 has been an important year, with my solo exhibition at Spring Cheltenham in May being a personal highlight. It was such a buzz to see my work in one beautiful gallery space for the very first time.
The year has also been one of making great connections - in terms of new followers and fans of my work as well as meeting some lovely, very open fellow artists, happy to share years worth of their experience. I’ve also been very fortunate to gain new gallery representation too. I’ve received such encouraging feedback at various art fairs and sales, both directly and via my galleries, never fail to put a smile on my face.
The only real downside has been other work commitments that have impacted on my studio time. Sometimes other things just have to take priority, but my focus for the new year will be dedicated to more time painting. I want to dial down the pressure a little and to simply enjoy the process of creating…and see where it leads me. So, that might mean less art fairs next year and more time painting.
Either way I feel it’s time to shake things up a little, so I’m very excited to see what the future holds for me in 2024.
Watch this space and thanks for following along for the ride! Merry Christmas one and all.
